This photograph of the week is of the Bellevalia ciliata. This wild flower was taken at the Royal Botanic Garden. Taken on a beautiful day these flowers were out in full colour and smelled amazing!
The reason why I thought this flower was photo of the week, was because of the different layers within the picture and the composition within the photo. The focus and the depth-of-field in the background makes the blue colouring standout creating a sea of blue, not only that but the colouring in this photo complement one another and allows the flowers to be brought into focus.
